Keep Bugs Away With a Non-Toxic Mason Jar Repellent

Other than being annoying, mosquitoes can actually be incredibly harmful.

Whether it’s Zika, West Nile virus or Dengue fever, mosquitoes can carry serious diseases transmitted by their bite.

Most conventional ways of protecting yourself from mosquitoes, like bug spray and citronella candles don’t just kill mosquitoes, they also harm your family.

In fact, DEET, the active ingredient in most aerosol bug sprays, is poisonous to inhale and can penetrate the skin and make its way into the bloodstream.

On the other hand, mass-produced citronella candles emit toxic substances as they burn, including formaldehyde.
