When American business magazine Forbes announced 2016’s richest people in the world, nobody was surprised to find Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates maintaining his iron hold over the top spot. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg has been bumped up from rank 16 to 6, placing him in the top 10 this time around.

According to Forbes, the world has become poorer by $70billion. The Indian economy hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing either, with fewer billionaires making it to the list as compared to last year. Here’s a look at the top Indians who managed to hold on to their incredible wealth.
